The Makings of a Perfect Summer Weekend

Sundays always bring me a mix of bittersweet emotions, especially now that I have the weekends off once again.

I can’t help but feel my mind revert to the Sundays of my school age years when the day consisted of impending doom thinking about the massive amounts of homework I had yet to start, the chapters I would be cramming to read and the busy, early-waking days of the week to come.

Now, at age 26 I’m fortunate enough to have a career that I relish in, which has left Sundays feeling far more relaxed.

Of course, there will always be that slight feeling of distant anxiety, but that’s what Sunday evening cocktail time is for, right? Another, less inebriating way to quell the Sunday blues? Reflecting on the highlights of my weekend. This weekend simply screamed summer and of course a scattering of vibrant sunsets doesn’t hurt. Hope you enjoy as much as I have 🙂
