I have to say, we’ve been truly blessed this July in New York, in terms of weather. The humidity was joyously manageable, the days were warm, sunny and delightfully breezy. Of course, a streak of perfection always comes to an end and this weekend was the first cloudy, grey, rainy one after a series of perfectly beautiful, sunny, optimal-tanning-day weekends. If there’s one thing, ok, two, that cure the rainy weekend blues it’s spending the days with the person who holds the key to your heart and really good food. After all, what else is there to do on a rainy day other than snuggle, eat and maybe read some books/watch movies?
Here’s how our past few days were spent:
Catching up on some quality time with my fav lil dude
Chewy basking in the afternoon sunlight.
The second best thing to wake up to, after my husband.
Speaking of my loving husband, here is his analysis of me on the Hot vs. Crazy Scale. At least I’m not in the “Danger Zone”…exactly.
Simple treasures. Gifted with some of my Grandma’s beautiful costume jewelry.
A night at my parents house provided me with the ultimate blogging environment.
Weekends are made for pie.
Kind of obsessed with this lovely coral ring from Tidepool Love…inspiring memories from Hawaii.
A new to me liquor that tastes exactly like Sweet Tarts.
A summery coral manicure.
Thyme, olive oil and onions simmering away.
Finishing up some homemade crab cakes.
Saturday night dinner: crab cakes & French Onion Pasta.
Sunday’s hangover cure: homemade bagel sandwiches.
Sunday shopping selfies.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
