Spring Favorites!

New season, new obsessions..

Here is a messy lil assortment of things I’m loving! These are things I’ve been using throughout the past month-ish to transition into the warmer months.

1. Diptyque Baies Candle

This candle screams spring! It’s so fresh and rejuvenating. It’s such a perfect transition scent from woodsy and sweet winter scents but not fruity, tropical or too summery. It’s just a lovely fresh, clean and not overwhelming scent.

2. L’Occtaine Amande Shower Oil & Tree Hut Sugar Scrub

L’Occtaine Amande Shower Oil: LOVE THIS! This was an impulse buy at the Sephora checkout and now it’s on my to do list to go back and buy the full size. It smells sweet and fresh, not like a sickeningly sweet. It’s so moisturizing and leaves my whole bathroom smelling heavenly!

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub: I use this in conjunction with the L’Occtaine oil and my skin has never been softer. What I love is that it stays soft ALL DAY, not just right after the shower. Oh and the smell? Ugh….it smells like the most decadent latte.

3. Lush Eau Roma Water & Caudalie Beauty Elixer

Lush Eua Roma Toner: My love for Lush’s toner sprays is no secret. I carry their Tea Tree Oil spray with me to work every day and am often found in the trainer’s lounge spritzing my face. The Tea Tree is great for during the day and in between classes because it cleanses and tightens my pores to refresh and keep dirt out. However, I really needed a night time toner that was more moisturizing. This one has rose oil and lavender in it which is perfection for PM skin care.

Caudalie Beauty Elixer: This was also a Sephora checkout impulse buy. Why are those bins so darn irresistible?! It smells like a spa and is so refreshing! It gives your skin a perfect dewy glow, I spritz it on before I moisturize in the mornings to give a little extra radiance to my look.

4. Urban Decay Chill Setting Spray & Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

Urban Decay Chill Setting Spray: I never thought I’d meet a product that made me put my Mac Fix+ towards the back of the shelf. Both leave your skin with the same perfect airbrushed, dewey flush but there’s just something about the Urban Decay one that I like just a bit more. It’s a bit of a softer glow and I also like the pump spray, it’s easier to use than the odd shaped Mac pump. I think the UD gives more of an even spritz.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: My colorist recommended this product to me saying that “it looks like you have nothing on…like you just have naturally perfect, flawless skin”. Her description could not have been more accurate. This was the only foundation I used in Italy. I brought it as a day time foundation because I didn’t want my skin to feel to heavy with makeup while walking all over but I loved it so much I ended up using it at night too! I was amazed over and over every time I snapped a selfie and saw how my skin looked. It literally looked airbrushed.

5. Becca Opal Liquid Highlighter & Moonstone Highlight Powder

Becca Opal Liquid Highlighter: The way I use this is a mix it into the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and then rub the combination onto my skin. It evens out my skin while also giving it such a beautiful natural glow that just makes my skin look incredibly dewey, fresh and lit from within. It’s not exactly shimmery, just radiant and the finished look is quite natural. It’s beautiful.

Becca Moonstone Highlight Powder: Am I obsessed with highlight? Um….yes. Is it overkill that I use this highlight powder on my cheekbones, nose, chin and brow bones even after I just rubbed the liquid highlighter all over? Probably. But it’s soooo gorgeous I can’t stop!! I love this stuff so much that I don’t even stop at my face, I dust it onto my collar bones, my boobs, etc…

6. Algenist Genius Anti Aging Cleanser

I’ve been telling everyone I know to buy this face wash. It’s a three step cleanser and you apply it directly to your face dry; no water needed until you rinse it off. It starts as a gel that breaks down your makeup then it transforms into an oil to dissolve makeup and moisturize your skin and finally, with the addition of water it becomes a milky cleanser. I used this every day in Italy (because I caked on makeup everyday..) and my skin never looked better. Despite the ridiculous amount of makeup I wore day after day my skin never broke out and it was incredibly hydrated and just…glowing! Ugh, LOVE this stuff.

7. Fresh Sugar Lychee Perfume & Body Lotion

I’ve been using this perfume for a little over a year. Typically, I like to layer it over my Laura Mercier Vanille Gourmand but lately I’ve been really into tart, fresh scents and have been wearing this on its own which is why when I saw the lotion in Sephora I had to grab it. I love layering these two and it’s my go to fragrance for the season-delightfully bright and fresh with a hint of tropical beachiness.

8. Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac

I’ve had my eye on this little purse for a while but was so indecisive about what color to get. The selection seems endless! Finally I was between an orangish brown and this mint color. I’m painfully indecisive so I sent Dan a picture of both colors for a Valentine’s Day gift suggestion and let him make the decision. Once I saw it person, I knew he made the right choice. Mint is my favorite spring time color so I think this little bag will be getting quite a bit of use in the next few months.

9. Essie Bikini So Teeny & YSL Lipstick

Essie Bikini So Teeny: There’s nothing like pretty pastel nails in spring! However, usually my skin is still way too pale from winter to compliment pastel polish. Not the case with this light blue! It’s the perfect shade that doesn’t wash me out no matter how pale I am and it just looks better as my skin gets tanner.

YSL Lipstick: What makes this lipstick worth the absurd amount it costs is how moisturizing it is. I’m generally not a lipstick fan simply because they dry out my lips so bad. Not this guy! It’s as moisturizing as a balm, smells like Starburst and leaves the prettiest subtle pink flush of color.

There you have it! Feel free to share what you’re loving, I’m always down to check out new products 🙂

PS…Sephora’s VIB sale is on!!!!!
